There’s also a convenient way to access 8 Peaks from the heart of Tokyo—Shinjuku.
If you’re visiting Japan and enjoying your time in Tokyo, or if you’d like to explore Shinjuku after a ski or snowboard trip at 8 Peaks, this route is a great option.
Take the Limited Express “Azusa” from JR Shinjuku Station to JR Chino Station. From there, a free shuttle bus will take you directly to Ikenotaira Hotel, the central hub of 8 Peaks.
It’s a scenic journey from the city to the highland resort—watch the landscape transform as you head into the mountains.

The shuttle bus from Chino Station is free of charge, but advance reservation is required. Please make sure to arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before departure for check-in.

For the return trip, you can travel to Shinjuku at the times listed below. One great option is to arrive via the Shinkansen from the airport, then enjoy sightseeing in Shinjuku on your way back.
