Located by the shores of Lake Shirakaba, Hütte Jil is a simple and affordable accommodation option for guests who want to enjoy the 8 Peaks area at a reasonable price.
Stay in a traditional Japanese tatami room, warm yourself under a kotatsu, and sleep on a futon for an authentic taste of Japanese culture.
It is an ideal choice for travellers who want to keep their stay simple, comfortable and budget-friendly.
Stay in a traditional Japanese tatami room, warm your legs under a kotatsu — a low table with a heater underneath and a futon blanket around it — and enjoy a cup of tea as you experience the cosy charm of a traditional Japanese winter. At night, sleep on a futon laid out on the tatami floor for a simple and authentic stay.
Meals
To keep your stay affordable while also giving you a taste of Japanese culture, dinner is served as a daily BENTO BOX.
Breakfast is a simple light meal with toast and a coffee.
Guests are welcome to use the shared kitchen space and co-working space during their stay.
Please note that while the kitchen is available for guest use, there are no supermarkets or grocery shops nearby. We recommend purchasing any food or ingredients before you arrive.
Rooms at Hütte Jil do not have private showers or toilets.
Shared toilets are available on each floor, and separate male and female shower booths are located on the first floor.
There is also a public hot spring facility, Suzuran-no-Yu, about a 5-minute walk from the property. It is a convenient and affordable place to enjoy a relaxing onsen bath during your stay.
A coin-operated washing machine and dryer are available on site.
There are two sizes of Japanese-style rooms available: rooms for 2–3 guests and rooms for 4 guests.

Hütte Jil is located at the edge of Lake Shirakaba.
It is around 5 minutes by car from Royal Hill, and about 3 minutes by car from Ikenotaira Hotel, the central hub of 8 Peaks Resort.
The shuttle buses connecting Chino Station and Sakudaira Station with 8 Peaks Resort arrive at and depart from Ikenotaira Hotel. Transfers between Ikenotaira Hotel and Hütte Jil can be arranged by Hütte Jil’s staff.
For the inter-resort Round Bus included with the All Mountain Pass, as well as transfers to Blanche Takayama, Royal Hill and Pilatus, Andermatt’s staff will first take you from the hotel to Ikenotaira Hotel. From there, you can use the 8 Peaks Resort transfer service.
