If you’re enjoying time in Tokyo before heading to 8 Peaks Resort, there’s another easy option: a direct ski bus that departs from Shinjuku West Exit.

It leaves early in the morning, but you’ll arrive at the ski resort around 10:30am—perfect timing to hit the slopes from around lunchtime on the same day. On the return trip, the bus departs the resort at 4:00pm after a full day of skiing or snowboarding and arrives back in Shinjuku at around 8:00pm.

Using this service makes it easy to fit a day trip from Tokyo into your plans, and even on a short stay, it lets you ski on both your arrival day and departure day—so you can make the most of your time in Japan.

About a 15-minute walk from Shinjuku Station West Exit
From JR Shinjuku Station
Exit via the Shinjuku Station West Exit ticket gates, then take the underground passage on the front-left side (the “South Passage” on the right-hand side as you face the Meiji Yasuda Life Building) and walk towards the Tokyo Metropolitan Government area for about 6 minutes (approx. 450 m).
The underground passage ends as you continue straight. From there, keep going straight without going up the stairs on the left, and you’ll pass Keio Plaza Hotel on your left.
Enter the building on the left-hand side—inside is the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Large Vehicle Parking Lot.

From Tocho-mae Station (Toei Oedo Line)
Tocho-mae Station has only one set of ticket gates. After exiting the gates, take Exit A2 and you will be inside the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Large Vehicle Parking Lot.
