The Thoroughbred Course at Shirakaba Kogen Kokusai Ski Resort stretches approximately 1.3km, offering an exhilarating ride down while overlooking the stunning Megami Lake. The upper half of the slope features an off-piste area, allowing you to enjoy powder turns in a safe, controlled environment when fresh snow blankets the resort. The other half is meticulously groomed, making it perfect for carving smooth, flowing turns. As you pick up speed, you’ll finish on a perfectly pitched steep section for a thrilling conclusion.

At Shirakaba Kogen Kokusai, every run naturally leads back to the gondola station, so even if your group splits up to explore different trails, you’ll always end up in the same spot—making it easy to regroup and ride again!

Step away from the main slopes and immerse yourself in the peaceful silence, where the only sounds are the rustling trees and the glide of your skis. This 5km long course offers breathtaking glimpses of the surrounding mountains through the trees.
Even beginners who aren’t confident in their turns can naturally follow the winding path, making for an enjoyable and smooth ride.
After exiting the gondola at the summit station, take a walk deep into the forest. About 700 meters in, you’ll find the starting point—ready for an unforgettable run.

At the Shirakaba Restaurant, located next to the gondola station, the Tateshina Mountain Curry is a must-try!
This popular dish features a mountain-shaped serving of rice, modeled after Tateshina Mountain, the iconic peak of 8 Peaks Resort. In front of it, you’ll find a huge fillet cutlet, making for a hearty and satisfying meal.A perfect way to refuel after a day on the slopes! 

At Restaurant Stream, located in the base area of the slopes, you can recharge with a steaming bowl of miso ramen!
