- Recently we’ve had a growing number of guests confusing Hida-Takayama in Gifu Prefecture with Blanche Takayama. There are a few places in Japan with similar-sounding names, so it can be a bit tricky. Please note that Hida-Takayama and Blanche Takayama are more than three hours apart by car. When you make your travel plans, please double-check your destination so you don’t accidentally end up in the wrong place.
